Filling up the Composter, for the First Time Since Spring

Today, I decided to check the composter, and fill it up for the first time this year since spring. This is something I always seem to neglect, so it’s always needing done. I do believe the compost tea bin will help me with this, as I’ll be using it to rott the waste out a bit before putting it into the composter. This should allow moisture levels in the composter to be better regulated when I add new material and the breaking down of the material should already be well on it’s way.

Also the compost tea bin, will be a constant reminder to not forget about my composter. Since every time I go near it, I should smell it and ‘think’ about it. Also as I need to add material too it, it should also serve as a reminder that it’ll need emptied out from time to time.
